Jay obtained a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business with a minor in Economics from The College of New Jersey ( he also played on the baseball team and most recently, Jay was the winning pitcher in the Championship Game for the 2006 Cal Ripken Fantasy League!).

Jay has over 14 years of mortgage experience with Freedmont Mortgage Corporation® in Baltimore, Maryland. Throughout his career, Jay has helped many people improve their financial well being with his insight and knowledge. He continues to improve his experience through various Education Courses and by utilizing his access to contacts within various lending agencies, including Fannie Mae, HUD and others. Jay is individually licensed and holds certificates from The Federal Housing Administration (FHA) Continuing Education Course, and other courses. He is currently a Senior Loan Officer/ Mortgage Planner as well as a lead underwriter for Freedmont®.

Jay has a wide network of connections from real estate agents to financial planners that he has established and maintained over the years. These relationships allow Jay to offer his clients a true “one stop shop”, as Jay only works with a handful of professionals.

Jay appears periodically on ABC 2 News Mortgage Mondays and as a regular invited guest on the Ed Norris show on 105.7 FM and a frequent guest on This Week in Real Estate, another syndicated radio talk show. Jay is now the featured guest and resident financing expert on The Weekend Real Estate Report.

Carl Delmont
Host and Moderator

Carl graduated from Shepherd University with a double major in Business and English. Within several months of graduating, he bought his first house and he quickly left his Financial Planning career for a career in the mortgage industry. After quickly rising to VP of a small mortgage firm, Carl left to start Freedmont Mortgage ®, which has grown to be one of the area’s most respected and trusted lenders.

Carl’s knowledge, experience and integrity have helped to benefit many borrowers for almost 2 decades and “his way of putting complicated mortgage terms into easy to understand words”, as one testimonial states, has led to various media appearances over the years. Carl is a weekly guest on WMAR ABC 2 News each Monday 4 years since 2002, as well as the resident expert every Tuesday morning on 105.7THE X morning show in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. In addition, Carl is also the resident expert on The Ed Norris Show weekly on 105.7 FM in Baltimore.

Carl currently serves on the Board of The Maryland Council of Economic Education and is involved with various charities. Carl is the Host and Moderator of The Weekend Real Estate Report where he offers various consumer tips and advice to future and current homeowners.
