and writer of the site which tracks all of the turbulence in
the “less than perfect credit” mortgage
lender arena
TOPIC: Lenders
If you have been watching the news the
past few months, you will see the rapid rise in the closings
of some lenders. Is it loose underwriting; greedy loan
officers; overly trusting clients or maybe a combination of all
of the above? Over a trillion dollars of adjustable loans will
re-set in 2007, a large part of which will be the payment-option
loans. Are you due for a payment shock? Will you be facing foreclosure
or financial hardship because you are in the wrong loan?

TOPIC: Financial Literacy
Most schools do not teach it and most parents are not confident

Kid's today (and some adults) need to understand the intricacies
of credit cards, credit scores, financing a car and home, budgeting,
etc. Whether they grow up to be a cardiologist or a custodian, they
will need to posses financial literacy. |
|
| GUEST:
Bill Caspari of Coldwell Banker
Timonium
TOPIC: Rogue
Loan Officers
Newsweek® ran a story about poverty moving to the suburbs although
it is a problem associated with cities. Stagnant wages, outsourcing of jobs,
rapidly rising utility and real estate tax bills, easy credit and a lack
of financial literacy are all named culprits. Rogue Loan Officers who either
do not understand the loans they sell (or simply do not care) are pushing
loan programs ill-suited for uninformed
homeowners, such as the "pick-a-payment" loans only exacerbates
the situation. |
 |
GUEST:
Sharon L. Cremen, SRA,
owner of

TOPIC: Credit Freeze
Maryland is considering enacting a credit freeze to protect consumers
from Identity Theft. What are the pros and cons?
Pennsylvania enacted one 1/1/07. Consumer Groups are obviously
for it and retailers are against it. Both have valid concerns.
We will get to the heart of the controversy and offer you excellent
tips to help protect yourself against identity theft. Don’t
miss this important topic! |
